I think mine are FAFCO Sunsaver. They make a huge difference in the water temp in my pool. Especially when you also cover the pool at night with a solar cover so you don't lose the heat you have gained during the day.

I am looking into these to replace an old propane heater for an inground pool. The heater burns about 3 gallons of propane per hour which is about $9 at current prices. Am looking for a good reliable DIY solar heater. I see there are many brands. Will be installing on the ground, on an angled support or flat on the ground. I think I will need 2 or 3 4x20 panels. Any suggestions as to brands? I see there are about 4 or 5 brands to choose from.

Watermom, what size pool do you have and how many panels do you have?
I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner. We were affected by the big storm that hit much of the eastern U.S. last Friday evening and I did not have power until this evening. (It was off for the past 7 days.)
I have a 27ft AG pool with 54" walls. I have two panels that are each 2' x 20.' They do a great job heating my pool.
No problem. I have a friend who lives in Fredericksburg, VA and she was out of power until Monday night. Are your solar panels like these (hopefully the forum will allow a link to ebay):

i couldn't enlarge the pic to be able to see it well, but it looks about like mine. I think most of them are made about the same.
