    Default Rising salinity

My salt cell keeps blinking high salt. I check the the control panel it shows high 5000ppm.
When I drain down the water a bit and refill it does drop the ppm's but a week later there high again. I'm not sure why it keeps rising. Temperature fluctuation maybe? I've done this 2 or 3 times now.
The other day the cell was fine. We received 4 inches of rain, and when I drained down the pool the cell was flashing high again.

Do you have a solar system or a heater? Sometimes when it kicks on, it can cause a high salt alarm because of the sudden increase in temperature.

    SWCG-CI40
Did you mean an Intellichlor IC40? They seem to have a very high sensitivity to temperature fluctuations.
