    Question Bromine and Chlorine

My parents own a pool. My father has always taken care of it himself. But, as he gets older (close to 80) he's starting to forget the things he always used to do to keep it sparkling clear. He's using bromine and chlorine simutaneously is that ok? I don't remember him ever doing that before. Because the test strips say everything is within a decent range, but, the pool remains cloudy. Any help wwould be appreciated.

exactly what products is he using? Three step bromine and two step bromine can use chlorine as an oxidizer so that is perfectly fine BUT if this is an outdoor pool bromine is not the best choice since it cannot be stabilized against loss form sunlight. Please list all the products being put into the pool and a current set of test results.
