Do have specific models that you're looking at, or are you needing opinions on brand names? There are some equipment guys on this forum that can help, but if you're needing info on specific models, they're going to need to know your pool volume, size/type of filter, any water features, and which models you're considering. If you're just wanting opinions on brand names, I'm sure they can give you that, too.l...

BTW, I deleted your other, duplicate post. When new folks post, it goes into a queue to be modded in, so that's why it didn't show up immediately.

I think I just need opinions on the brand names. I am looking at the Pentair VF

Ah, you posted this while I was editing my post above. Please reread it, because there's some additional info the guys are gonna need to be able to answer your question.

    Pool: 23,000 gallons
Filter: 200 sq ft Sta Rite Cartridge
Heater: Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm Low NOx 400,000 BTU Natural Gas

I have a rock water fall, but that's connected to another pump.

My spa is connected to the pool

Any of the VS pumps will work with your setup but the VF is about $300 more than the VS with little benefit unless you really have to have the variable flow feature.

But probably the most important factor is if you have a controller and which pump it will interface with.

If you don't have a controller, probably the best is the Intelliflo VS 011018 which sells for around $900 and has a built in timer.

But with spa, maybe you want the SVRS feature? All manufactures have a version with that.

I bought the SVRS option on my Hayward EcoStar and found it to be incompatible with my 2nd floor roof mounted solar panels. When the solar system would start, the pump would see priming the solar panels as an entrapment event and trip for 24 hours. You don't have solar, but, that waterfall pump (depending on how it's plumbed) may trick the SVRS. I don't know but it's something to consider.
