Default Muriatic Acid Vs. Sodium Bisulfate?

Besides any cost differences, is there any difference in using these two methods of lowering Ph? I ask because I am new to this, having had a pool for only a week. After handling Muriatic a few times, and reading all the warnings about the stuff, I feel I might be more comfortable in the long run with dry acid. I see so many still use Muriatic, so I'm thinking it must have better properties or something?

I like muriatic because it leaves no residue. With dry acid, you'll build up sulphates in the pool over time. Now I don't know how serious that is but it's easier for me to use muriatic. The only byproducts are water and salt.

Safety and ease of use vs. cost and sulfate buildup.

I guess for occasional use, Dry Acid is probably better (I prefer it).

But if I had a curing concrete pool, or an SWG constantly pushing pH up, I think I'd be using Muriatic Acid instead.
