Default still have ben's kit, time for new kit?

    Hi,

I still have ben's kit, most with original chems. The powder has turned dark, starting to run out of some of the chems, and I see that the link referenced in the sticky which cross-reference's ben's kit with taylor chems is broken.

    any advice?

    tia,
    jd

I think it's time to spring for a new kit. Get the K-2006. You can find it through the test kit page in my signature below. I had been using my old PS-233 and 234 kits, too, but this year I bought a K-2006, too. I still use an OTO kit for quick daily checks on my chlorine and pH, though.

Good to have you back around the forum this year!

thanks, looking at the sticky, it seems like the walmart kit is a pretty good deal. do you prefer the k-2006 and if so, why?

it's good to see you back here too, thank you for all the sage advice over the years, I'm sure i'll be relying on your advice this year too.

The HTH 6-Way kit does not let you test chlorine levels over 5ppm. The K-2006 allows you to test chlorine levels up to around 50ppm. That is why we prefer it.
