Not me, but maybe someone has.
I have been fighting cloudy water for the past two weeks and am finally making progress by following the BBB method and a ton of patience. I also employed the DE trick to my sand filter. I haven't been around in a few years; due to Ben's excellent training, I haven't had many issues. I am however curious about the cost (ball park) of running a 3/4 HP pump 24/7, which is often recommended on this site to clear cloudy water. No other issues, just wondering if anyone has tracked this. Thanks, Guppy.

Can you be more specific on which 3/4 HP pump (model #)? It can make a difference.
Also, what do you pay in electricity ($/kwh)?

There are no markings or serial numbers on the pump except for R.G. Ray Corp. (on the metal retaining ring). Energy cost is $0.072567/kwh.
It looks like another site is suggesting $2.00-$3.00 per day running this pump 24/7. That's O.K. until water clears. Thanks for the responses.

Does it have a service factor listed on the label?
The range is quite large from 1114 watts for an up rated 3/4 HP on small plumbing up to 1600 watts for a full rated pump on larger plumbing so there are a lot of variables. You are looking at somewhere between $2-$3 per day.
