    Question Problems removing Spa jet

I am trying to unscrew the plastic spa jet from my inground spa, but I am having nothing put problems.

I am trying to plug one of the jets, as the contractor installed it incorrectly and it is limiting the pressure of the jet above it. I purchased the 1 1/2 inch plug and the pool supply store even showed me how to remove it, but it wont budge. I even broke off one of the plastic nubs, when trying to spin it with a screwdriver and hammer.

It was suggested that I try using a pair of plyers and spread them from within the jet, however it does not grip well enough. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Brian

    Brian,
I rejetted my hot tub a few months ago and they make a special wrench to fit into the "nubs" of the jet. I am no expert on this, but when I was trying to figure out what kind of jets to put back in my hot tub they all seemed to have their own wrench, so you may look at the jet and do an internet search to find a wrench to fit them....

    Good Luck!!
