    Default Purchasing Pool Chemicals Online

    Good morning everyone. Hope you are doing well and are enjoying your pool. It is plenty warm in the Fort Worth, TX area to swim these days. We are having an early start to summer.

    My question is do any of you purchase most or all your chemicals online. I have found a few websites that are significantly less than the retail outlets. I was looking for some assistance and hoping to save a little $$. If you know of any good online stores, please post the website if that is allowed (I know this website has strict rules against advertising).

    Thanks for the help.

    Mike

    I buy a lot of my chemicals online. I haven't had any problems yet! So I usually get the ones that are the cheapest, I have used a lot of different websites, so I won't post any of them, because they were all fine.

    I get my baking soda at Costco and Muratic Acid at a couple of places. I am looking to buy things like "Pool Perfect + Phosfree" and "Jacks Purple Stuff" online. I am interested in the Phosfree products as I have recently had very high phosphates and it was quite expensive to treat. It took 3 bottles of Phosfree (3 liters each) over a 2 week period to get rid of them. The bottles were $40 each. I have found a few websites that can save me nearly 50% with free shipping for Phosfree. I have never used bleach. I have a SWG and I just bump the % up when I need to super chlorinate. I also have Tahoe Blue Pebble Tec...would bleach harm it?

    No, because:

    SWC=chlorine
    pucks=chlorine
    bleach=chlorine

    The end resulting compound, chlorine, is the same. Some folks w/ SWC have posted that they use bleach to superchlorinate to save their cell life.
