    Thanks everyone, I will try all that before using the "yellow stuff". There is no problem with the bottom of the pool.

    I also think you've got pollen on the surface and recommend the skimmer socks for that and other surface debris.

    If it turns out that you do have yellow algae ... do not use the yellow out stuff.
    Keep it simple ... chlorine will treat it.

    Post back here if you need more help but I'll bet the skimmer socks will do the trick for you.
