Okay, it's the wife here (the one maintaining the pool). Now, our CC is too high. We only lost 4PPM of chlorine all day today, so I think we're making progress. But, now I am concerned about the CC being too high. I've read that it says to shock it to get rid of the CC, but how much? I am already at 17PPM FC.

    FC: 17
    CC: 1.5
    CYA: 100
    PH: 7.4
    In ground w/attached Spa - Pebble-Tec, chlorine, 17,000 gallon, Sand Filter Pentair TA-100D, Whisper-Flo filter pump WF-28 2HP

Losing 4 ppm of chlorine during the day is not an indication of a problem . . . especially if you had some swimmers. 1.5 ppm CC might, or might not, be a problem.

Please use this form I created for you, to record your complete pool info (including water condition, filter pressures and calcium levels): PF Pool History - TTorreyson

You can see the results, here: PF Pool History => TTorreyson
