On your mark, Get set, Go! Help hitting the gound running with (new to me) start up

This is the plan. Simple easy start up with chlorine this year. Savings account to purchase SWCG in the winter maybe at a discount.

This is what I have. Moving a 24'x52", 2003 Mirage. I have not taken down and moved this pool yet. Will use a new liner.

I live in Iowa (where the men are men: and the livestock are scared) with warm to hot very humid summer. Pool will typically have three to four bathers almost daily. Daughter is Autistic: she will likely consume some of the water and always keeps her eyes open.

I travel for a living- am away from home roughly every other day. My support group (family) while well intentioned are not the most consistently responsable group on the planet. And while it may seem like a good idea to teach my 12 yr old boy some responsibility. I would prefer not to have my wallet tied to the other end of that rope.

I have contacted the water works in town and these are the numbers that they are giving me right out of the tap

PH between 9.1 to 9.2
TA around 42
Total Chlormine 2.3 to 2.5
No free chlorine
Water temp 72 deg. (Tech was just showing off.)

They are indicating these numbers should stay pretty consistent.

I have three working sand filter pumps. Listed oldest to newest.

Dynamo DYNII-N1-1
1.1 hp motor. Meteor tank info is faded but appears to be the same size as the 150 lb (currently empty)

Starlite
1 hp motor 150 lb tank Tank and pumps system all starlite. I used this last year and still has sand in it.

Power-Flo LX
1.5 hp (rebuillt) Hayward S210T1580 series 200 lb sand filter. (empty stored indoors) Been fed Baquacil since birth.

Now I can make some assumptions based from what I have read so far. But I would rather "be right" than "think I am right".

Looking for advice on which filter systems to keep and use. And what I need on hand (BBB and otherwise) at the moment of conception. I am heeding the advice to get a good test kit and will have that in my possession before I complete the assembly of the pool. It is not necessary to keep reminding me. I got it: and I will get it.

I'll let someone else advise you about the equipment. My guess is that the first two might be ok but the third one is too big. If you do go with that one, you'll have to replace the sand. A sand filter gets very gunked up with Baquagoop as we call it.

A couple of things to have on hand are several gallons of plain, unscented bleach, some muriatic acid to lower the pH, some baking soda, approximately 5 lbs. of CYA (cyanuric acid -- sometimes labeled as conditioner or stabilizer. If the ingredient is cyanuric or isocyanuric acid, it is the right stuff.)

Do you have to keep the filters and pumps paired or can you mix / match? All things being equal, I'd connect the smallest pump to the biggest filter.

I am not sure. I am not clear I guess on the interaction of the three. there are actually four components five if you count the basket. Have the media container. The thyngy mabob that is the top and mates with the inards of the tank, Motor and pump. I was thinking the same thing. Just got done removing the pool: Whew! But I have some crinkles in the wall from trying to roll it back up. Should I pop them back out or let the weight of the water do that. Or (third option) did I just screw the pooch?
