    For every 10ppm of chlorine that trichlor adds, it also adds 6ppm of chlorine. You can put trichlor in a skimmer. Ben says that it is ok as long as you never have the pump off for more than 8 hours before turning it back on because trichlor is so acidic. Because of its acidity, it also causes pH to drop so keep an eye on it while using the pucks.

    Did you do your own CYA testing? Did you use a disappearing black dot test? Do you have a Taylor K-2006 kit? If so, please add that info to your signature line.

    I tested my CYA with my Taylor K-2006 kit and have added it to my signature line. Thanks.

    My results are generated from a Taylor K2006 kit.

    27' round 17.5K gal AG pool; Bleach; Hayward 150 pound sand filter; Hayward 1.0 hp pump; 12hrs; Taylor K-2006; well; summer: ; winter: ; iPad; PF:6.9
