Wife and I purchased a new "old" home this past January and it had a above ground pool. We believe it is around 20 ft in diameter. Stumbled upon this site trying to figure out why the pool is foaming after adding algaecide. Figure this site will provide plenty of knowledge throughout the summer and ownership of the pool. Thanks for the all in the help in advance.

Hi and welcome to the Pool Forum! Foaming is a pretty common side effect of many algaecides. That is why we only recommend Polyquat 60% when we do advise someone to use one. Why did you use an algaecide? Is your pool green? Give us some details of your problem and a set of current water testing results and someone here will try and help you. We also will need to know what kind of filter you have and what size the pump is.

If you don't have a good test kit, you'll need one. The one we recommend is the Taylor K-2006 or 2006c. You can pick it up through the testkit link in my signature below.
