Adding Borax while kids swimming

Hi!
I am a newbie! I have an Intex 20ft X 4ft round pool. I am using the BBB method. I was wondering if its ok to add the borax (doing the sock method) while the kids are swimming or should they wait till its all added? Thanks!!

Yes, you can add Borax while kids are swimming, but you don't put it in a sock. You pour it directly into the skimmer (slowly) while the pump is running, breaking up any clumps. It is CYA that we sometimes advise putting in a sock in front of the return jet, not Borax.
