Default should the sight glass on filter be cloudy

when I rinse my filter the water spinning in the sight glass is cloudy just like my water. what does this indicate? problem with filter, not backwashing enough?? my water is still cloudy and I am problem solving all over the forum, but thought I would mention this here.

I'm assuming you're rinsing immediately after backwashing but before you start running the filter again in "filter" mode. If you're backwashing thoroughly, the rinse water should be clear (possibly cloudy for a second or two, but not after that). If it's running cloudy for longer than that, I'd suggest backwashing for a longer amount of time.
