    Default Another Problem!

Well, just confirmed another problem caused by the local pool company that built my pool.

The umbrella sleeve in the sun shelf was capped with what appears to be a return jet orifice...meaning it has an approx. 3/4"diameter opening as opposed to a typical 1.5" diameter opening for standard umbrellas.

    What are my options???

Please don't suggest that my pool company fix the problem...I would prefer to have a non-functioning unusable umbrella sleeve than to let them back on my property.

The orifice on the sleeve is very firmly arttached...not sure what I would do to the shelf and surrounding PebbleTec if I tried to pry it off.

    Thanks for any advice.

Can you find a way to step the umbrella pole down to 3/4" ? Maybe a long piece of PVC that you insert inside the umbrella pole?

PVC won't work and would break, but a length of 3/4 steel pressure pipe may. Home Depot sells it.
    Cheap fix, too.

It Should screw off ,, I dont think they would have glued it on . If so cut or grid it off flush rout out the inside .. You will have to lower the water level
