Re: Outdoor sound system for my pool
I've got a regular cheapie "aiwa" stereo like this one http://moerema.tripod.com/goodies/in...stem_2?i=1&s=1
I have a shed on one side of my house where the stereo its-self lives, and you can run speaker wires VERY long without much problem. The speakers are very damaged due to them not being waterproof and being outdoors, but otherwise the setup works. I use my Droid2 phone connected via the headphone jack to the stereo for streaming.
If you have someplace dry you can put a stereo, you should be able to use pretty much anything. You should get outdoor speakers up front. When I do replace my decaying speakers, I'll probably use something along the lines of these: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107ATR4...=N#details-tab although that site tends to be a little expensive so I'll probably actually order them elsewhere.
