Our pool is a 27' round above ground with a sand filter. The pump is 1.5HP. Here is the test kit results we just did, although we are not using the kit(s) that you recommend, we are finishing out the drop kit that came with the pool.

We have backwashed it and the water coming out is milky looking, so it is clearly catching some of the dead algae. Additionally, we have replaced the sand in the pump as of yesterday, so we know that the pump itself should be relatively clean.
