Default Changing from fiberstar fiberoptics to LCD lights?

Is it worth changing to LCD?
My light currently is not lighting up the pool, I think it is the bulb?
What is the cost to make the change? (I think the box will work for both)
Is it difficult to make the change?

Do you mean LED? I never had fiber optic lights, but I bought a new LED light for my pool last season. It replaced an older 200w light that I couldn't get to stop leaking. The LED lights are fairly expensive up front, but other than making sure you get the right voltage (12 vs 120) it was pretty straight forward to install. I use it a lot more now because 1. it looks pretty cool 2. It consumes only 30w instead of 200. I turn it on more just so I can see it from the house at night sometimes

It was expensive, around $500 if memory serves (if you search my old posts there's more specifics in another post by me here I'm pretty sure). But I'm very pleased with it. It could stand to be a little brighter, I think they say it compares to about 150w incandescent. Also, since the LED's can really be white where a regular incandescent pool light is yellowish your pool will look "blue" at night like it does during the day instead of greenish (unless you have it set to some other color).

For me, it was worth changing. It would take many years for the power savings to pay for the replacement, though.
