    Default Will not hold chlorine

I am going to try the BBB method this year.

    Conditions
    14,000 gallons fiberglass
    PH 7.4
    CYA 20 or lower
CL starts out at 10 in the morning, by end of day it is 0
I am having a cloudy white problem that won't clear up. I have been dumping 4 gallons of bleach in every morning for 5 days with no success. And I have added two boxes of Borax to raise PH to 7.4. The PH seems to be holding

    Do I need more CYA?

I live in Indianapolis and we have several 80 degree days and my wife and daughter want to open the pool.

You may will need more CYA, but that's not necessarily your problem. Do this:

    1. Add 4 gallons of bleach in the EVENING; then test in the MORNING.
(That will tell us whether you are losing chlorine to sunlight, or something else!)

    2. Order a K2006 (or K2006C).
(You can use the Amazon link in my signature. The K2006C tests 3x as much water, but only costs 1.5x what the K2006 does)

    3. Tell us what sort of pump / filter / piping / equipment you have.

    4. Send equipment pictures (if possible) to poolforum@gmail.com

    5. Tell us what your CYA level was last fall.
