    Default ph testing

just curious about testing my ph level. when I test it it seems to be around 7.0 yet if i let it sit for maybe a minute the color changes appearing closer to 7.4/7.6. The taylor test kit doesnt mention allowing it to rest, just wondering if im reading it correctly. My chlorine level has been generally around 20ppm with cya around 60. Any thoughts on my ph I hate for it to remain too low.

Are you sure about the chlorine level at 20 ppm? Would that be FC? That is very, very high and would invalidate the pH reading. FC over 10 ppm makes pH readings unreliable.

If I remember correctly, pH readings should be taken right away and not be allowed to sit.
