Default No suction on skimmer line

I have a 16 by 32 inground and i was vacuuming and lost suction. I used a drain king on my garden hose thinking i sucked up a massive clump of leaves but it didnt solve the issue this time. When i shut off my main drain valve it comes in very slowly then almost like it catches and the water comes out for a quick sec and then back to slow flow. Ive looked down the skimmer with no water and removed the valves cant see anything that i would think might be an issue. Any ideas?

    Welcome to the Forum!

Is your water level in the pool at least 1/2 way up the skimmer mouth?

Okay, I stuck my drain king on the pump side and skimmer side and I can move water either way. Still very little to no water coming out when pump is on and only skimmer valve is open. I guess snake be next option.

Just had this problem although not sure what a Drain King is. The pool guy said water from a hose will flow through a clog but not clear it. He used a blast from a CO2 tank and the wad came right out.
