Hi please tell me how long to backwash ?

ok thanks it has water in it no air that i can see ..it runs 30 ,minutes then it loses pressure .could this be a hose stopped up thanks for all your help and thanks Matt for your help to ...

Hi, it appears an air leak is not your problem. My second choice is the filter is trying to clean dirty water. It could be the algae that is clogging the filter. In this case you would need to get the right chemicals into your pool to kill the algae and backwash the filter often until it clears up.

If the water is clean, I’m stumped.

ok my husband changed sand yesterday because someone told him that was whats wrong .but that is not it it still will not keep good pressure when you hook the vaccumm up to it ...I dont know what else to do other than scream ..it has new sand but is still acting up when i hook my aqua bug up sorry all the questions

are you only having trouble when you try to vaccum? do you remove the skimmer basket when you vaccum so that you get a better seal?

When it stops sucking, does teh pump have air in it?
How much above the bottom of the skimmer is your water level?
Have you checked for a leak in teh aquabug hose?
Do you have a 2 speed pump and have you tried vacuuming on high?
This may help narrow it down....

ok the pool store we got the pump from said it was a seal and the propeller broke .but i dont know if this will work or not i guess we are going to buy a 2 speed pump no aqua bug is new i got it for mothers day
