Turned out to be a relay. Pool guy came out and tapped one of the relays and it was fixed. He suggested I wait a while before buying a new one to see if it happens again. No charge!

Sorry you didn't get a reply. Asking about a very specific piece of equipment limits the number of people who have knowledge to share. Plus, the forum is slow at this time of the year.
