Fixed my Solar Heater, and it was too easy

I have a Heliocol solar pool heater (circa 1997), and it sprung a leak in one of the collector tubes. I read about putting a 1/4" nylon tube or screw in the collector tube, and tried it. Well, these tubes are 1/4" OD, and about 7/32 or 3/16 so ID (apparently a #10 screw). So, off to Home Depot for another approach, and I was approached my a HD helper.

Since I was happy with just plugging the collector tube, he suggested a sprinkler system "goof plug" that was made to that exact diameter tube. It is made to plug this exact diameter tube. It worked PERFECTLY. I had to spread the news. I spent a lot of time looking for a fix, and this one was easy.
