You're welcome! You'll love the kit. Let us know if you have more questions. The forum slows down a lot this time of year, but we're still around and will continue to be around if people need us.

Congratulations on your purchase of the K-2006, I love mine.
Taylor has videos on thier website at http://www.taylortechnologies.com/pr...tNumber=K-2006 that show how each test is performed.
With your new kit, this forum, the Best Guess Chart, and some patientce, your pool will be sparkling and the envy of your neighbors.
    Good Luck!

I got the pool running great now but have another question. Does Algae grow in cold water? My water is 55-65 now and wonder if I should still keep the FC levels up.

    thanks

We used to say that if your water was under 50, then you didn't really have to worry about algae, Until my co-moderator Al (Poconos) found some algae growing under ice in his pool in northeast PA! Where do you live and what are your winters like?

I would say you still need to keep the Cl levels at least at the minimum on the chart for your CYA level, but you'll find that with colder water it doesn't take adding chlorine nearly as often as it does with warm water to keep the levels up. If you shock the pool again now, you'll fnd that it stays a lot longer than it does in the summer
