Default Salt water ok for Rock Pools ?

I was all set on switching to a SWG but I think I read somewhere on here that salt will eat away or cause damage to concrete decks. I have artificial rocks everywhere around the pool and they are painted. Would water that splashes around on the coping, waterfalls, entry, etc. damage the paint or concrete ? Would it leave a salt reside after drying out ?

    thanks,

There is someone who GC'ed their own pool and has lots of rocks and uses SWC. Here is his web site.
