    Question Help with Equipment Placement

I just got a ingroung pool installed and they put the chlorine salt generator before my heat pump heater, doing research I seen on the internet that this was suppose to go after the heat pump, is this going to harm the heat pump or make a difference should I call him back and make him move the equipment around, the heat pump has not been used yet but I was going to turn it on in the morning; If someone could please help me I would appreciate it this is my first pool so I am doing alot of research to make sure everything is right. Thanks alot

Yes, the SWCG should be AFTER the heater.

Chlorine levels immediately downstream of the SWCG can be high enough to cause damage to the heat pump over time. Perhaps if your unit has a titanium heat exchanger, this may not apply . . . but I'd call the manufacturer of YOUR unit and ask and see.
