Does your pool have metal sides or anything else metal? If so, you'll need to be aware that going salt will likely void your warranty as salt corrodes metals pretty quickly. Other than that I think I read that intex uses some nonstandard plumbing (this mainly seems to come up when intex owners try to replace an intex pump or filter with a non intex one). If your pool isn't an intex pool you might have to buy or make some sort of adapters.

Those intex swcg systems are REALLY inexpensive (I see them on various websites for about $200 new?). So much so that it brings to mind the old phrase about a deal being too good to be true... On the other hand there's really not a lot TO swcg's.. they use electrolysis to break down salt into chloride; no moving parts really. I've always thought they were overpriced myself.
