Default Diamond Crystal 40 Lbs. Iron Reduction Salt Pellets

Is it safe to use this salt from Lowes in a salt generator-ed pool?

    I wouldn't.
Are you trying to solve an iron problem in the pool?

The pool does have reddish stains in it, so one would assume it might be Iron. It's just cheap at Lowes and solves iron problems, so just thought it might be worth checking out.

Don't know how it works or what's in it. It may work in water softeners but those are not at all like pools.
There is alot of info in the metals forum for identifying and treating metal stains.
