Barracuda MX8

Being that my Hayward Pool Vac Ultra is on it's 5th rebuild and I refuse to spend another dime on it I'm in need of a new cleaner and came across this, looks like it's relatively new. Does anyone have any experience with one of these units? Also was looking at The Pool Cleaner, have a friend who has one and says that it works awesome...opinions

Update..Went out and Purchased theBarracuda MX8, I have a friend that does whoelsale pool parts so I got a very good deal on it. All I can say about this unit so far is that it is only about 1000x beter than the old Hayward Pool Vac Ultra that I had when it was properly working. Obviously have to see how it holds up over time but just looking at it it seems as if it is alot more durable than the Hayward Pool Vacs are.

Please let us know how you like it, after you've had a chance to use it for awhile--it might be a good resource for us to point others toward, that are thinking about the unit.

I have posted a similar question. Glad to hear the mx-8 does a great job, I'm going there as well. I have an inteliflo pump running at a low rate for 8 hrs to save energy. Do you think the barracuda will be happier than the hayward ?
