Default dead mouse in my saltwater system pool

I found a dead mouse at the bottom of my pool. I have a saltwater filtration system. I cleaned the pool out yesterday but my chlorine reading was 0 yesterday. I ran a boost cycle yesterday. Went out this morning to prep the pool for the kids and thats when I found the mouse. I removed the mouse, but what about the water? Is it contaminated? How can I clean this? When will it be safe to let my kids back in? If I put chlorine or bleach in my pool; Will I damage my saltwater filtration system? I had a pool cover but trashed it last week. I will be getting a new one today!
I babysit 6 kids everyday and they always want to go in the pool, so believe me, any advice or help will be totally appreciated.
    Thank you kindly-

I would shock the pool based on your CYA level (see the Best Guess chlorine chart in my signature below) and then let the kids swim the next day. Others may tell you differently, but I'm not a fan of creatures (right, Ben?) and that is what I would do.

Yeah, once you've maintained shock levels of chlorine for 8 hours, you're fine. By the way, you now have general forum access. -Ben

PS. Use bleach to shock, not the "boost" cycle on your SWCG. 1 gallon of plain 6% household bleach adds about 6ppm chlorine per 10,000 gallons of pool water.
