    Default fixing pool leak?

    Hi,

I turned on our aux pump for the polaris today and a geyser bubbled up from underground about five yards from the pool. Is this something I can fix myself? it's an inground pool.

    tia,

I guess the good thing is you know you have a major leak as opposed to a dribble which you may not know about. Seems like the ground probably shifted and broke a pipe. Plain old muscle is needed to dig to the break assuming it's not buried in concrete. Once you locate the break, fixing it should be easy. If the pipe is PVC it probably broke. If it's the somewhat flexible black poly then maybe a connection popped loose.
