#1 - start running your pump 24/7; continue till your pool is 'well'!
#2 - Get a cheap OTO / phenol red kit and add 4 gallons of plain 6% household bleach in the evening. Repeat the following evening, if the chlorine levels (by OTO, not guess strips) is less than 3 ppm. Increase the dose by 50% if the chlorine is below 1 ppm.
#3 - Go to the pool store and get a test done for stabilizer level. Once you know your CYA (stabilizer) level, read the Best Guess page (see links in my sig) and set chlorine levels from that. DOSE EACH DAY TO READ THOSE LEVELS in the evening. One gallon of bleach on your pool = ~4 ppm.
