Question Pool Re-plaster - any way to "save" water?

Making plans for a re-plaster in a few weeks. Contractor anticipates dumping water into woods behind us (that's no problem), then we'd probably refill with 4-5 6,000 gallon deliveries, plus the garden hose, to be able to fill in less than 24 hours after plaster is done.

Seems like a huge waste of water (32,000 gallons), let alone money. Does anyone successfully pump water to holding tank(s) and pump it back when done? Or is this just too much darn water?

    Thanks,

Do you have a 30,000 gallon holding tank available to use? I'd think that would be the biggest problem, coming up with a suitable tank.

A Wikipedia article sizes "LargeTank Trucks" (Semi type) as between 5,500 to 9,000 gallons. It may be possible (but I'd guess a bit pricey) to bring some of these in while your pool is resurfaced.

I know of one gunite PB in my area who offers a bladder service. They bring in a tow motor to unload the bladder from thee truck and pump water into it as a temp storage solutions. After work is complete, they replenish pool. I would check with gunite PBs in your area. I hope this helps you.
