Personally, I would. Less of a chance of having a problem over the weekend. That is unless you've got metals or some other reason to avoid shocking?
i checked FC 6.5 ppm today but i had 1ppm of CC. is this still ok or do i need to shock? Cya-45 ppm, PH-7.4-7.6 , TA-100. i have already shocked the pool just in case because this is the first time i've seen CC. am i over reacting? is this something to be concerned about? the water is crystal clear and before i added 1.75 gal of 6% bleach i checked the FC level and it was 6.5 ppm. i will check it again in the morning.

Kelemvor is right. Shocking the pool is the right thing to do. Did your chlorine level drop too low? Continue to stay at shock level until you can go from sundown one evening til within 2 hours of sunrise the next day without losing more than 1ppm of cl and also have no more than 0.5ppm of CC. At that point, you can let the cl drift back down and keep it back in the correct range per the Best Guess Chlorine chart.
i shocked last night broght fc to 17.5 ppm. i checked this morning. cc-0 fc-16.5 and my ph went up its at 8.0 which is as high as my taylor 2006 kit will register. is it normal for ph to go up when using about 1.75-2.0 gal bleach?

Retest pH when the chlorine comes down. If you test while the chlorine is high (above 15ppm for a K-2006 I believe), you get a falsely high pH reading.
BTW -- Add a little info to your signature for us please. (volume, kind and size of filter, and the fact that you have a K-2006)
Thanks!
since there was no CC readings this morning should i continue to keep at shock level?

You should be fine to let it drift down.
