    Hi jodyjim!

Installing a pump and filter is not difficult. You can do it yourself. When we first bought our pool years ago, my husband did it easily. I don't think the warranty would be affected. I don't know that for a fact, but somebody here will know that for sure. So, sit tight for a bit and some others will chime in soon!

    Welcome to the forum!

There's only one tricky thing I know of: Many pumps, particularly IG pumps, don't come with a cord. So you have to buy a cord, it has to be code (in my town I think it must be 3' exactly) and install and wire it to the house service. If it's a plugin and 220v, you need exactly the right plug--they change shape based on rated amperage. If it's 110v, that's easier.

However, if you buy the same pump you had before, odds are it's a simple one-for-one transfer of the cable.
