After giving up on a Dolphin Dynamic due to the repair cost of approx 5-600USD, I bought and installed an MX8. I've noticed that in order to generate sufficient suction in my 15,000 gal pool, I have to shut off the main drain and almost fully close one of the two skimmers (the other skimmer has the suction tube connected to it - I don't have a dedicated suction line). This causes quite a bit of cavitation in the pump basket and air enters the system.
I do have a dedicated booster pump that is currently connected to the pressure side of the pool. This has a dedicated pressure pipe into the pool from when I used to have a Polaris cleaner. Can I change the plumbing around on this to the suction side of the pool and utilise this as a dedicated suction booster or is this a stupid question?
