Cart filter pressure going lower??????

I cleaned the cart and pump basket. PSI went from 12.5 to 14 psi....???????

Any sort of restriction on the suction side results in a lower filter pressure. So a full pump basket will result in lower filter pressure as well as impeller blockage. However, a dirty cartridge should result in higher pressure and cleaning should reduce the pressure. So more than likely, it was the pump basket causing the problem.
