    Default Above Ground Salt Water

I asked my local pool store about turning our 28 ft round above ground pool (its a Doughboy)over to a salt water system and was told that it would eat up my pool walls and the metal. What are your thoughts and is anyone else doing this?

Some people do have saltwater AG pools, but your pool store is right, it is pretty corrosive. I'm pretty sure that it voids the warranty on some AG pools.

Welcome to the Pool Forum! Hope you enjoy it and find it beneficial.

EDIT: Go to our sister website www.poolsolutions.com and click on search. Then do a search on above ground pools and void warranty. There have been a couple of previous threads discussing this. You will have to log out to be able to see the search pages.
