    Default Electrical outlets around pool.

Hi All, we are building a new pool in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if it is a big deal installing a couple AC outlets around the pool for the robotic pool cleaners. What did you do?

Just check your local codes--they have to be a certain distance from the water and they MUST be ground-faulted. (for your own peace of mind, ground-faulting should be your own mandatory requirement). They may also be required to be a certain distance from the pump power supply, and on a different circuit.

Yes, you are probably required by code to have one nearby to avoid the temptation of using an extension cord. GFCI without a doubt.
