Default Re: New pool owner with algae

I have a 24 foot round above ground pool. I am using test strips. Says alk is low and PH is low. Virtually no FC. I have huge Algae problem. Used Bioguards Banish last week. How much baking soda and borax do I need to raise the PH and Alk? If I go to pool store, they will sell me Backup.
