This has probably been asked a million times...

First time pool owner, I opened the pool about a month ago, had the pump running 24/7 for about a week or so to get it all cleaned. Now it's on a timer for 12 hours/day. About four days ago I noticed the pump started shutting itself off throughout the day. Yesterday it shut off 5 times in about 10 hours on a 20 degree Celsius day, so I shut if off for good till I can figured out/replace it.

1. Approx. Age of Pump is 8-10 years. (I am the second owner so I am basing it on age of house when I think they installed the pool)
2. Motor housing is super hot.
3. I removed the basket and I can rotate the impeller, can't feel any blockages.
4. Going to check Voltage as soon as I find my Multi-Meter.

Is there any other user-serviceable options or am I going to have to replace the motor in the near future.

Cheers
CB
