    Question White cloudy water

I just installed a new sensor on my salt chlorinator system. I have been using the standard chlorine method while I was going through the trouble-shooting/tinkering/ordering phase of this dilemma. When I got the sensor installed and turned the system on, it immediately made the return water a white cloudy consistency. It has been doing this for two days.

    Any thoughts on this anyone?

    TIA

Does it clear up after the SWCG is off, like maybe it's air bubbles making it appear cloudy?

A "sensor" would not itself have any affect on pool water.

Can you provide more specific info about what SWCG you have, and what sort of sensor you installed?

It clears up when I turn the SWCG off.

It's a Chlormatic 3 and a Chlormatic three sensor. The Salt Cell Generator is Jandy (Aquapure). They are all compatible, so that isn't an issue.

The cloudy water condition is coming from the cell. It's not a hazardous condition, just unsightly. You can try sending more water through the cell, lowering your pH, or if the cell is close to the heater outlet and the heater is on, move it further downstream.

Well, I don't have a heater and the pH is within normal limits. (It doesn't seem to be causing any problems at the moment.)

    Thanks for the info!

What are you considering "normal limits"? Industry standard says the normal range is 7.2 - 7.8, which is quite a spread, when you consider that it can factor into the overall water balance of your pool.

What is your overall water chemistry, so we can determine the saturation index?
Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, Water Temeperature, pH?
