    Default Replace Cracked MPV--Help w/Part # Pls

Hi, our Pac-Fab 2" High-Flow MPV top cracked and the handle came off. (DH switched from waste to filter without turning the filter off.) We need everything replaced from the plastic washer under the handle to the diverter. I called Pentair and they gave me replacement part 261152. This includes the plumbing, which we do not need. Am wondering if part 261049 or 261165 could substitute?

Also, I found 261165 at http://www.barbecues.com/web/catalog...aspx?pid=63096 for a suspiciously low price--any experience with them or with bestbuypoolsupply.com, who also seems to have good prices? Prices online for the 261152 have ranged from $78-139, and I was quoted around $150 from our local supply store.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I *really* want to get the pool back up and running ASAP! If I had a dollar for everytime the boys have asked me if they can go swimming yet, I could pay for the valve easily! LOL

I have bought parts from bestbuy pool supply as well. No problems.
When I had my pool opened for the first time after construction the guy refered to the multi-port valve as the $400 valve, as that is how much it would cost to have it replaced(including labor I assume). Funny part is that, by him referring to it in that way always led me to remember to shut off the pump before moving. Funny how, if you attach a dollar amount to something what you won't forget.
