Default Green mold under old liner

We are replacing our AG liner. Saturday we pulled out the old liner and the sand has green in spots. Also there were green spots on the under side of the liner. We shoveled out most of it. But we feel like the sand should be treated with something before we put in the new liner.

What are your thoughts on spraying the sand with liquid chlorine? Is there something else better?

    Thank you,
    Mary Ann

Nothing better. That's exactly what I would do.
