    Default 3" pucks

When using the bbb method, is it bad to use 3" trichlor pucks? I have problems with my ph getting too low.

Trichlor pucks have their place in pool care IF your CYA isn't too high and IF your pH isn't too low. They are very acidic and will drop your pH. Might be a good idea to post a complete set of current water testing results taken with a drops-based kit. Also, tell us what type of pool you have and the volume, what kind of filter you have and what size of pump. Also tell us exactly what all you have put in your pool -- meaning ingredients and not just "shock." How does the water look?

Repost with requested info and someone here will take a look. Welcome to the forum, by the way!

If your pH keeps going to low then you shouldn't be using trichlor in any form. It's very acid and drives pH down faster. If you had a problem with RISING pH (common in new and resurfaced concrete/plaster pools and some SWCG systems) then it might be a good thing.
Bleach/liquid chlorine won't affect pH and Cal-Hypo is somewhat alkaline, pushing pH up.
