If your water is clear and you are not fighting an algae bloom, then your FC is high but will come down. You'll maintain it between 5 and 10ppm. You should see your pH read lower when FC is below 10. High FC tends to make pH look higher than it is.
You should not use Tri-Chlor tabs or Dichlor powder to chlorinate your pool. You CAN use Cal-Hypo for a while, but not once your CH level hits 400. However, your best choice is bleach/Liquid Chlorine(LC).

I'd say go swimming but wear old suits until FC gets in the 5-10 range.

You could add an ounce or two of PolyQuat. It will help prevent algae and, in that amount, lower your FC a little.
