Default Auto Pilot Low Salt issues

Within the last 3 weeks I have replaced my salt cell (SC-48), the tri-sensor assembly, and the salt cell cord that runs from cell back to control box. This is the 4th year with the system, and I have had some type of issue each year. Before replacing tri-sensor, the unit had warning purifier off low flow. Now it shows low salt level add 750 lbs of salt. I have tested three times with strips and the average is 3500 ppm of salt. I have tried to recalibrate salt in system settings but I can only get it to go to 1200 ppm. Autopilot customer service dept has been very unwilling to offer assistance, so I have given up on calling them. After spending $750 trying to get this swg going I am in need of help. If anyone has had this issue or knows how to resolve this issue I would be very interested in hearing from you.

Xihog, if you would give me some information (name and phone number that you would have called into our office from) to my e-mail, I would like to follow up with this very disturbing feedback from you. It is our responsibility to do all we can to ensure your Pool Pilot is working properly.
Calibrating the salt may involve getting into the Factory Setting. Where are you located? Perhaps there is a local Authorized Warranty Center that can calibrate this for you.
Sometimes the Low Salt reading may be as a result of insufficient water to saturate the tri-sensor so it can get a good salt reading. Is the water temperture display close to your actual water temperature?
Check your tri-sensor connection at both ends and make sure they are connected tightly. Also, with the tri-sensor side disconnected, ensure that the pins in the tri-sensor, are all clean all straight. A bent pin can cause condition this too.

    Hi Xihog,

    Has this issue been resolved?

When you state that you've had this issue every year, can you expound on your experience? Are you replacing your cell every year? I'm making a decision soon on upgrading so I'm trying to absorb all of the information I can!

    Thanks!

    Folks,
Sean is one of our very best pool-professional members. He's being super-careful to follow our rules regarding pool professionals, but this thread is getting near the margins. He's said: "Contact me privately" Please contact him off-line and outside of Pool Forum with your questions. Thanks.
